Spaghetti Nero's Way
(Garlic, Oil and Red Hot Chili,
known in Italy as
Olio e Peperoncino...)
Anybody knows Mr. Nero? He was the Roman Emperor famous in the history to have burnt Rome during the year 64 AD, and meanwhile he was enjoying his evil pyrotechnic show, even the books of History they don't say it, Nero he used to eat this fiery Spaghetti dish I've cooked just for him and this special event. He loved my spaghetti so much because they were so hot, but so hot to remember to him the big fire that he made of Rome!
Now, are you ready to try even you this EASY, QUICK, DELICIOUS but very HOT RECIPE?
These are the ingredients we need for at least 3 hungry gladiators:
- 500 gr (1 lb) of Spaghetti
- dried red hot chili pepper (at least 6 or 7 pieces. but follow your taste)
- 4 cloves of Garlic
- Italian Parsley
- Salt and 3 table spoons of Oil Extravergine of Olive
- Pecorino Romano Cheese
Let's get a large fry pan. Add the oil, the garlic and the red hot chili pepper.
Let's fry them all over a medium heat avoiding to burn them, for at least 5 minutes. till the garlic becomes gold.
Now boil the spaghetti as I've already told you in the chapter How to cook Pasta in Human Way
As they are al Dente (remember.. To the Tooth) drain them and add pour them into the fry pan with the sauce. Mix it all and cook over medium fire another 3 or 4 minutes. tasting if the red hot chili and the salt are ok and adding some chopped parsley and pecorino cheese!
At this point the spaghetti are ready to go into your mouth: but don't forget to call the 911. your NERO'S SPAGHETTI can BURN!
