Signifer Legion XIV Gemma 1st Century AD Miniature! The Roman Signifer was below the Centurion in rank and bore the standard for the century. The signifer also worked as banker for his unit. Note the small, round shield; pteruges-armour plates in the filt and upper arms; and the groin guard or 'sporran'.

2 1/4" tall, cast in lead free pewter.
